It's been a while since I last posted. Things have been pretty well. Aside from my car and laptop breaking (again!!!). Work has been on a slow, yet kinda steady base. Hoping things really start to pick up for the holidays soon. I'm gonna be working 6 day weeks in hopes that we're busy. Which we better be because then I technically don't qualify for overtime. I'm not really worried about it.

Things with Adam have been going really great. We've been talking a lot more about living together, which is nice. I'm hoping we can find a nice place and that everything works out. Things just seem to keep getting better. We're talking about taking a small vacation for our one year anniversary in February. Perhaps to Vegas for the weekend. We looked at some deals and it seems like the best one will cost us about $700 for flight and hotel. Just gotta see if we can both get the time off or not. I know I already have most of that weekend available. I'm really hoping we can because I'd love to go and do something special.

I also recently started up a photography blog and facebook page. I've been getting some good hits. Already booked a wedding. I'm hoping to be able to assistant some local photographers and attend some webinars over spring and summer. I'd really like to get a decent website built up as well. I definitely need to spend more time practicing with lighting, especially low light situations like wedding receptions.

Also, finally got to see some proofs from my boudoir photography session. I get to order a little book and whatever prints I'd like. I'm excited, but some of the photos are missing. Actually, a whole outfit is missing from the set and the photographer said she didn't remember doing that part. I hope she still has the pictures and puts them up soon. Otherwise that kinda sucks.

♥ 6 Months

Tomorrow will mark the 6 month anniversary for Adam and me. :)

I'm so incredibly happy to be with him, and I know he feels the same. Which makes me feel...well, indescribable. We were texting earlier tonight about it, and he said "now lets go for the full year" and I told him for sure. And then he sent another text saying "Then a couple more even. ;)". And I told him that "nothing would make me happier". Finally, he said "I love you, and I couldn't be happier that you came into my life". I agreed, telling him that those were "My thoughts exactly".

I can't wait to spend the evening with him after work tomorrow, especially since we get to sleep in together on Wednesday morning. I love laying in bed with him in the morning, and I haven't gotten to sleep in for a long time. It's going to be great.

I'm not sure what we'll do tomorrow night to celebrate. Hopefully something a little special. I don't expect anything significant because we are both saving money for our trip and don't have any extra at the moment. Especially since I'll be going to the All American Grooming Show this weekend and he's paying off loans and those parking ticket fines. I'm hoping we'll be able to have a nice dinner and do something afterwards. Whether we go out to eat, or cook together at home it doesn't really matter to me. I just want to have a great night to celebrate the past 6 months, because I really couldn't have asked for anything better.

Go Brewers!

This past weekend Adam and I went to a Brewers' game. It was our first one together. It was a Sunday day game, and it was HOT!!! I couldn't sit down in my seat at first because it was burning hot on my legs. We were sweating the whole time, the sun was just beating down on us. We didn't get any shade at all. Aside from being uncomfortable, I had a good time. The Brewers won the game! We also got to see a drunk guy fall over the rail onto the field. He skinned his head and was bleeding. It was kinda crazy. A ball also came pretty close to our way, and two of the players jumped to catch it. I think it was Braun who did. They were only a couple feet away from us, it was pretty intense!

I hope we get to go to at least one more game before the season ends. Adam said we'll have to go to a night game to avoid being cooked again! :P

Next week will be our 6 month anniversary. I can't believe how fast time has been going by! And our vacation is only about a month away. I cannot wait!

Some other good news is that I was able to settle on part of the medical claim from the insurance company. I should be getting a check soon for my missed wages and "pain and suffering". Groovy. Once I send in my medical bills, those should be taken care of. I just have to talk to someone about the damages estimates and hope they don't try to settle for less. Hopefully soon too.

And finally for today, I started the P90X program yesterday. I am a bit sore in my core and arms now, but it will be good for me. I hope to get some nice results. It sucks that already next week I will be away at the grooming show for a few days, but they have a pool and fitness room. So working out shouldn't be a problem. Especially since the other girls are trying to keep up a routine as well.

Planning

Adam and I have started planning our vacation. We're going to New Orleans. :) We are planning on visiting some of his family in Arkansas and then driving down to stay in the city. I'm started to get excited now.

Today we picked the hotel we plan to stay at. It looks really nice, and has great reviews on tripadvisor. First we looked at the hotel Adam has been to before, which I liked a lot but we decided on this one because the rates are cheaper. That way we'll have more spending money for around the city. The photos look really nice and the decoration is neat. Much better than your typical Holiday Inn or something. Those hotels are so boring. That's probably why I liked staying at the Knickerbocker so much when we went to Milwaukee. We also looked a little at a really luxurious and modern hotel. It looked gorgeous, but I'm sure the hotel we picked will do just fine. ;)

We also made a list of attractions we'd like to see and restaurants that are recommended. Adam is very into diners or what he likes to call "greasy spoon" type places. He's seen a bunch of neat places on the travel channel or food network that he'd like to go to. So hopefully we'll also be enjoying some awesome food.

I can't wait to get away just the two of us for more than one night. It's going to be so great. Hopefully we don't get sick of each other in the car. :P

Independence Weekend

I had a three day weekend, which ended up being really nice and relaxing. I needed a mini vacation to de-stress from work. ;)

On Friday night Adam and I went out to dinner. Before dinner we stopped at a bar so he could drop off something for a friend. I met his friends Jay and Nikki. There were others, but I'm horrible at remembering names. We then decided on Benvenutos since Adam was thinking italian or mexican, and he had never been there before. Our waitress seemed to be forcing her smiles, which was annoying. She also gave Adam the wrong wine. My food was delicious! I ordered the Chicken Tetrazzini. He ordered the Penne Supreme and didn't think it was anything special. Which was too bad because I really enjoyed my dinner. However, we both enjoyed each other's company during dinner. Afterwards we went back to my apartment to relax and cuddle. :)

On Saturday I didn't do much. I spent a lot of time relaxing in front of the tv. I went outside for a while to read a book in the sun, but after half an hour or so I got too sweaty. I was really hoping to meet up with Hailey or someone for drinks, but since it was the holiday weekend she was busy. So I watched the movie Beastly instead. It wasn't bad. After that I watched The Edge on netflix, which brings back fun memories of the island house. I crack up every time when the geese hit the plane because it's so ridiculous. I was feeling a little lonely since I hadn't seen anyone all day, but I felt better before going to bed.

I got into a cleaning frenzy on Sunday, which was good. I cleaned the kitchen, bathroom, and living room. I took a few breaks to catch some of the LOTR marathon on tv. After showering I ran some errands to pick up stuff for the picnic on the 4th. When Adam was done working he biked over. I was hungry, so we went to get some cheeseburgers. Then we watched Deadwood until going to bed. It was a lazy evening, but it's always nice to spend time together.

On Monday Adam had to wake up early and go to work. I got up around 10am and started to get ready and pack for our picnic/beach day. Before I knew it, it was time to pick up the subs and the man. ;) The drive there kinda sucked since I don't have AC, but we made good time. We found a nice spot on the beach and set up our stuff. We drank and talked while enjoying the sun. Naughty Adam didn't put on sunscreen and was turning red before long. We waited to eat until Jamie arrived. We all talked and goofed around. Cassi arrived not too long afterwards. We played frisbee for a while which was fun. I really wanted to go swimming, but the water was too cold and Kings Park isn't really my favorite place for a dip. So we mostly spent the day talking, joking, and just having a general good time. We snapped some photos, and then made a fire. We began to relax right before the fireworks started. They seemed lame in comparison to previous years, but it was still enjoying. I loved sitting close to Adam while watching them. The drive home seemed to take forever. We were both exhausted and Adam's sunburn was starting to hurt in some places. We finally made it back around midnight and just wanted to jump into bed, but we were so sandy that we had to rinse off first. When we did get to bed, it seemed we were both exhausted, but totally alert. Lol. It didn't take too long to fall asleep though.

All in all, it was a very good weekend. I especially had a great time on the 4th.

So yesterday when I was on my way home from work, I was rear-ended. :(

I was stopped behind a car turning left, and the lady behind me must not have been paying attention because she hit me. It was pretty scary. My car doesn't look as bad as I thought it would. Especially considering that she hit me hard enough to pop open all of the ashtrays in my car and send change flying into the backseat. I ended up having Ashley take me to the clinic where I was diagnosed with a cervical strain and a concussion. Oh joy. I didn't sleep very well last night, and now I am tired and sore. I had to take the day off of work because of the accident.

I had a little bit of a scare at the clinic too because something showed up on my xrays, so they had to send them to a radiologist in Milwaukee to review them. Luckily it was deemed negative.

I've been laying in bed all day relaxing and taking my medication. I'm so bored!!!

I love this photo. The movement and colors, especially. I've lost the name of the photographer, otherwise I would give credit.
